• A hospital in Washington is looking for an experienced MedSurg/Tele RN for a travel contract.
• The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.
• Orientation/Education Hours: Orientation/education hours are not guaranteed during the first 2 weeks of your assignment. Expect 25+ hours.

Job Requirements
• 2 full years of experience.
• Hold an active BLS, ACLS and WA License.

Schedule Information
• Shifts: 12 Hours (Days = 0700-1930, Nights = 1900-0730).
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other.
• Holidays: Yes.

Unit Specific Information
• # beds: 26.
• Ratios: 5:1.
• EMR: Epic Training.
• Charge Nurse: Yes.
• Nurse Aides: Yes, typically 4-5 per shift.
• Tele Monitors: Yes.
• Do nurses read strips? We have monitor techs, but nurses are responsible for reviewing.
• Drips: Heparin, Cardizem, Insulin (Not DKA protocol), Narcotics (Comfort).
• Vents: No.
• Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes.
• IV Team: Cross Shift SWAT team to assist.
• RT 24/7: Yes.
• Pharmacy 24/7: Yes.
• Floating: Yes.
• Floor specific orientation: Yes.
• Common diagnosis/Types of patients: CHF, COPD, Cellulitis, ETOH Withdrawal, Kidney, Dementia.

Additional Details
• St Michael Medical Center: Primary to St. Michael Medical Center but if needed, travelers will be required to float throughout Region Three: St Anthony Hospital – Gig Harbor, WA; St. Michael Medical Center – Silverdale, WA.
• We provide close observation through camera monitoring.
