- Cardiac PCU nurse position available
- Numerous beds within the unit
- Ratios include 1:3-4 for PCU level acuity
- Unit deals with a variety of diagnoses/types of patients including TAVR, Post Caths- TR bands and fem stops, and more
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor is available
- Numerous types of equipment on unit, such as all types of RT, CPAP, BiPAP
- Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCU
- RN's are required to titrate drips
- Experience with common titratable and/or set rate drips like nitroglycerin, heparin, etc.
- RNs read and interpret monitoring strips
- Schedule Information
- Shifts are 07-1930 and 1900-0730
- Self scheduling, balanced then reviewed by the manager
- Weekend Requirement is EOW, with Sat, Sun, Mon having high needs
- No call or standby requirement
- Unit Specific Information
- CNAs have a 1:8 ratio, may be pulled for 1:1 sitters
- MD availability should be hospitalist not intensivist
- Pharmacy availability will change
- RT dedicated to unit
- Unit has offsite central monitoring
- Floating requirements within skill set, may float to 4th floor but take a PCU load
- Any professional color scrubs for dress code
- Department specific orientation available
- EPIC experience preferred
- Additional Details
- Additional pay when floated within Region III that's not the primary facility
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications and more are required
