We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Hematologic Malignancies team! This position is a unique opportunity to join a state-of-the-art facility with a warm, family feeling.
The Boise St. Luke's Cancer Institute (SLCI) is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to cancer patients, offering a spectrum of services from early detection to survivorship support. Within SLCI, the Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) Program is a beacon of comprehensive care and cellular therapy for individuals battling leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic disorders, and other blood cancers. Distinctively, Boise SLCI hosts Idaho's sole BMT and Hematologic Malignancies Program, ensuring patients access to the most cutting-edge therapies in their community. In addition, the facility is a National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) Apheresis Center.
What you can expect from this role:
- Flex (0.1 FTE), day shift
- Schedule: 1 x 8-hour shift per pay period
- No nights, weekends, or St. Luke's observed holidays
- The BMT Infusion RN works in our newly established BMT Infusion Clinic, where stem cell transplant and CAR T patients are evaluated and managed
- The infusion clinic hours are 0
- Primary responsibilities include patient education, medical guidance, care coordination, and phone triage
- Committed to delivering excellence in patient care by collaborating closely with BMT providers, nurse navigators, pharmacists, patient financial advocates (PFAs), social workers, and other allied disciplines
Minimum qualifications for this role:
- Education: Nursing Degree
- Experience: One (1) + years' RN experience
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Health & Safety Institute
- Preferred: OCN certification, BMTCN certification, Oncology experience, and/or EPIC experience
