- A hospital in California is looking for an experienced L&D nurse for a travel contract.
- The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.
- No first time travelers.
- Job Requirements
- 2 full years of experience as an L&D nurse.
- Hold an active BLS, ACLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN and CA License.
- Schedule Information
- Schedule: 7a, 7p
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend but may work more depending on rotations
- Holidays: Work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts
- Unit Specific Information
- # beds in unit: 2 OB ED beds, 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor rooms, 2 OR's
- Ratios: Follow state and AWHONN guidelines
- EMR: Cerner; fetal link; hugs security system
- Floating: Post partum—float first; will float to NICU as well
- Laborist and anesthesia: In house 24/7
- Additional Details
- ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS, NRP.
- All MyJourney modules need to be completed prior to arrival.
- Medical Solutions Clinical Team will pre-screen all candidates.
- Cerner experience required.
- Baby friendly, first hour skin to skin important.
- NICU nurse will attend all high risk deliveries with an RT.
- Need to understand the documentation and care for the perinatal initiatives.
- Large volume of surrogates and multiples—must be comfortable with.
