  • A large hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced Neuro ICU/Intensive Care Unit RN's for a travel assignment.
  • The right candidate will have two years of Neuro ICU experience in a large level one Trauma facility.
  • Must hold an active ACLS & BLS.
  • Must have an active AZ license or compact.
    Job Requirements
  • 2 years ICU experience required in large (450+)
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required.
  • 6 months travel experience.
  • Must have strong neuro assessment skills and ICP monitoring experience.
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 12hr / 7-7. May be placed on Standby for a scheduled shift.
    Unit Specific Information
  • 12 hour nights, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays
    Additional Details
  • ACLS, BLS;**MUST HAVE LEVEL 1 TRAUMA EXP*** NO FIRST-TIME TRAVELERS **MUST HAVE EVD EXPERIENCE**
  • Medical Solutions Pre-Screens, if clinical recommends, AUTO OFFER
  • Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance, traveler has 2 attempts
  • DAY 1 PASS/FAIL SIMs Lab: All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes
  • The hospital expects that every nurse is competent in maintaining a sterile field, as these are skills that are performed frequently.
  • In addition to SIMs Lab, they will also go through lifts, restraints, & wound care
  • Ratios: *1:2
  • Charge Nurse: Yes, does not take patients
  • Scrub Color: Any color or print (non-offensive)
  • Tele: Phillips monitors.
  • Vents: Yes.
  • RT 24/7: Yes
  • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
  • Floating: Required to float between all ICU floors, and all Tele Units. Will get a patient load of 4:1 on tele. 1st to float
  • Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts on the floor.
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Any patient that would qualify for critical care with a neuro diagnosis.
