- A hospital in Washington is looking for an experienced Oncology RN for a travel contract.
- The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS and WA License.
- Pending license needed to submit.
- Temp license takes approximately 4 weeks.
- Job Requirements
- Experience of 'Must Have' Skills: Peripheral IV insertion, blood draws, blood transfusion, maintenance and care of CVAD.
- Strongly preferred Skills: Chemo certification through ONS; OCN if possible; Knowledge/Skills in administration of chemotherapy, biologics, immunologic.
- Schedule Information
- Day shift: 0800-1630, 8-hour shifts, 32 or 40 hours per week.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other.
- Holiday Requirement: Occasional.
- Is there a call or standby requirement? N/A.
- Unit Specific Information
- # of beds: 4 beds, 7 chairs.
- Ratios: 6 - 7 patients/ clinic day.
- Job Duties: Insertion of Straight IV, monitoring infusions, patient education, documentation.
- CPOE: Epic.
- Other as specified by Manager/Charge Nurse.
- Catheter, EKGs, Insertion or Removal of IVs? No EKG.
- Floating Requirements: Possibility of floating to sister Outpatient Infusion Clinics.
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: No designated color.
- Unit/Department specific orientation: 2+ - days of orientation; Orientation checklist to be completed.
- Additional Notes: Other Outpatient Infusion clinics are the same workflow with SJMC.
