Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care and service, is seeking applicants for a Genitourinary Reconstructive Urologist in the Division of Urology - Department of Surgery at SSM Saint Louis University Hospital. The SLUCare medical group is a part of SSM Health, which is an expansive network of care centers in Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin. 

This opportunity features a flexible schedule, high quality of life, with a desire to teach urology residents and medical students. Candidates must be BE/BC in urology and fellowship trained in Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery. The successful candidate for this position will be considered for Saint Louis University School of Medicine appointment as Assistant Professor. Entry level and experienced candidates are welcome to apply.

In September 2020, SSM Saint Louis University opened a new 600,000 square foot hospital with 316 private patient rooms and 200,000 square foot Ambulatory Care Center. Our Hospital and Level I Trauma Center provides care to 75 outlying partner clinics and nearly 50,000 patients annually, within a 250 mile radius across Missouri and Illinois. Qualifications required:

  • Board certified/eligible in urology with fellowship training in Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery.
  • Eligible for Missouri state medical license
  • Clinical capabilities in all aspects of urethral and genitourinary reconstructive surgery (robotic and open approach), prosthetic urology (including men's health and cancer survivorship), incontinence, sexual dysfunction, and urologic trauma.
  • Academic productivity with publications in genitourinary reconstruction and a desire to foster a research environment with urology residents and medical students.
  • Desire for leadership opportunities within the Saint Louis University School of Medicine and University Hospital
