About the Role

High-profile role supporting Sales leadership and the wider Sales team across EMEA, with frequent exposure to enterprise customers and partners.

Your Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating documentation to support the full sales cycle: including:
    • NDAs; evaluation agreements; software license and support agreements; SaaS subscription agreements; data privacy and information security agreements; professional services agreements/SOWs; and sales order documentation.
    • Agreements with alliance/channel partners and technology partners.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with vendors, including marketing suppliers and other general commercial contracts.
  • Advising, as required, on any other legal matters affecting the regional and wider business, including HR matters, disputes and litigation, regional aspects of compliance programs (e.g. data privacy, DORA, EU AI Act), Finance matters (e.g. debt collection/enforcement), and corporate reorganisation activities.
  • Preparing and contributing to the improvement of templates, playbooks and departmental processes.
  • Advising on the application of SS&C group policies and internal approval processes.
  • Training Sales teams on legal topics, policies and processes.
  • Potential involvement in new go-to-market contracting models, new product initiatives, and the activities of other SS&C group business units, as required.
  • Participating in, and promoting, the initiatives and objectives of the SS&C group legal function.
  • Supporting deals for other SS&C software business units, as required.
  • Building strong working relationships with EMEA Sales leaders, and with regional and global corporate functions.
  • Standard-bearer for ethics and compliance.
  • Instructing and supervising external counsel, where required.

Your Experience

  • Strong academic background and admitted to practise law in England and Wales or another major EMEA territory in which SS&C Blue Prism operates.
  • Significant experience in commercial contract negotiation, including B2B software licensing and/or SaaS transactions.
  • Interest in technology, automation and AI.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and drive to deliver high-quality, timely support.
  • Self-starter. Takes ownership of deals/projects and drives them to conclusion.
  • Clear communicator and robust negotiator with a pragmatic and commercial approach.
  • Able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple competing demands and workflow with limited supervision.
  • Interest in process and iterative process improvement.
  • Comfortable operating in a very international, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated collaborative approach and ability to build relationships and networks across a geographically dispersed organisation.

Desirable:

  • In-house experience (particularly in software/technology).
  • Experience of supporting sales teams.
  • Experience of any of the following:
    • Public sector contracting (e.g. G-Cloud, EVB-IT).
    • Regional regulation (e.g. Data Privacy, DORA).
    • Employment law in the UK or other EMEA jurisdictions.
    • Professional services contracting.
    • Transacting in non-UK EMEA jurisdictions in which SS&C Blue Prism operates.
    • Working for a US listed business.
    • Language skills for any major EMEA territory in which SS&C Blue Prism operates
