What You Will Get To Do:

The Product Manager's primary aim is to support the Product Management function by overseeing ownership for all SS&C Bluedoor AU products and services, driving the evolution and execution of the Product Strategy across all deliverables, and defining the product and solutions functional capability model in line with industry and competitor standards. They are responsible for prioritizing the AU R&D roadmap, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations, managing key client and partner relationships, and providing thought leadership to foster business transformation and operational improvements.

Please note, that this role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney and is offered on a 24-month Fixed Term Contract.

  • Conduct thorough research on target markets and competitive landscapes to produce reports that identify gaps in the current product suite and prioritize areas for improvement.
  • Develop product and propositional specifications, along with business cases, for new features and services tailored to the AU market.
  • Maintain comprehensive product ownership by understanding the capabilities of the existing suite and aligning future roadmap developments to achieve desired product outcomes.
  • Manage the ongoing Product Roadmap, ensuring alignment across interdependencies and with developments in other regions.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for partners, clients, and internal teams to address product issues, challenges, and long-term strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate the feasibility of new products, considering technical direction and approaches (e.g., build, buy, or integrate).
  • Support the Sales team by ensuring accurate and effective representation of products throughout the sales process.
  • Partner with the Sales team to engage prospective clients, analyze their Target Operating Model, and identify gaps between their needs and existing solutions or services.
  • Review and sign off on Solution Requirements Documents generated by Delivery teams to ensure alignment with product direction.
  • Represent the organization as an industry expert in recognized forums and actively participate to build credibility and influence.

What You Will Bring:

  • In-depth knowledge and extensive experience within the Australian financial services and wealth management industry.
  • Strong track record in Software Development and/or Product Management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Product Development within iterative and agile environments.
  • Skilled in analysing market research outputs, identifying trends, and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Proven ability to engage and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the capability to make informed decisions in complex scenarios.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product requirements and convey expected outcomes to diverse audiences.
