What You Will Get To Do:
The Investment Operations and Unit Pricing Analyst plays a key role in delivering operational support for investment administration, unit pricing, unit registry, and reporting services. This position ensures the accurate and efficient management of these functions for a range of DDH entities and entities administered by DDH.
- Execute investment trade and corporate action instructions promptly, coordinating with custodians and trustees for managed and superannuation funds.
- Record investment transactions, including purchases, sales, corporate actions, and expenditures.
- Perform reconciliations of investment positions and bank accounts.
- Retrieve and validate investment valuations from appropriate sources.
- Monitor and report on cash positions regularly.
- Maintain and update the fund administration system.
- Collaborate with investment management staff on operational matters.
- Complete reconciliations, address ad hoc requests and resolve queries from other departments.
- Calculate unit prices on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
- Reconcile and validate unit prices and their corresponding movements.
- Prepare and submit fund details to ratings and research bodies on a scheduled basis (daily, monthly, quarterly, etc.).
- Provide regular reports to investment managers on cash positions and investment valuations.
- Respond to managed fund client inquiries via phone and correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
What You Will Bring:
- Strong experience in investment administration, unit pricing (for both managed investment schemes and superannuation funds), and unit registry is highly regarded.
- Ability to effectively plan and organise work to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word with strong analytical and technical skills.
- Exceptional ability to collaborate and operate seamlessly within a team environment.
- A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail in all work produced.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of investment concepts, investment instruments, and unit pricing practices, including familiarity with ASIC/APRA guidelines.
- A degree in an accounting or finance-related discipline is desirable.
- Additional relevant post-graduate qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACA, FINSIA) would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of accounting principles is advantageous.
- Familiarity with investment securities taxation concepts and Australian taxation legislation would be advantageous.
