About the Role:

SS&C Algorithmics, a division of SS&C Technologies, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Integration Engineer / Senior Integration Engineer to join our Algorithmics Solutions Services and Cloud Onboarding team.

As an Integration Engineer / Senior Integration Engineer at SS&C, you will play a pivotal role in our solution services implementation and cloud onboarding team. Integration Engineers work in a multi-disciplinary group (business leads, financial SMEs and core Development / Product teams) to ensure successful implementation delivery and ongoing enhancements of our solutions. These solutions involve data, analytics and reporting services that employ core SS&C Algorithmics technology, and solutions developed by Algorithmics team. Our team works collaboratively, and team members are encouraged to explore and develop unique ways to solve challenges employing innovative technologies. Projects require individuals who are self-managed and proactively research and experiment to develop new ideas and solutions. In parallel, our engineers would follow established implementation methodologies, processes and best practices and implement onboarding of clients.

What You Will Get to Do:

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure and provide end to end integration for cloud-based risk analytical systems
  based on SS&C Algorithmics technology. These solutions rely on core SS&C Algorithmics
  technology including our microservices, and on third party tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Parameterize and integrate proprietary Algo components by developing required scripts to
  customize the integration of components for batch-run or real-time requirements, scripts for
  performing certain data transformation / mapping / ETL functions, and APIs for extracting
  outputs.
• Provide consultancy to our clients to gather requirements for enhancements and new solutions,
  to help them better understand our service, and to test new features and solutions as they are
  rolled out.
• Work with internal functional and technical development teams, and with our clients, to scope
  and implement technical solutions that effectively meet business needs.
• Analyze and enhance our service by recommending and implementing methods to maximize
  standardization in deployment, and improve performance, scalability and distributing processing capabilities.
• Install and maintain multiple environments (Dev / UAT / SIT) and ensure code base and
  configuration and certain data inputs are kept in sync between these environments as required.
• Measure performance benchmarks and conduct performance tuning and optimization of
  system / batches exercises to improve overall system and batch performance and also meet
  stringent SLAs.
• Package and release changes as per Release and Change Management Processes by effectively
  using source control systems, performing Risk Assessment, designing and executing migration
  tests and documenting detailed migration and upgrade steps.
• Provide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for technical issues that surface in
  implementation, technical operations and maintenance functions
• Work with Development team to improve the core software offering and cloud standard
  solution platforms. Work with development to also address software defects and client feature
  requests
• Prepare clear and precise documentation on solution / component deployment, integration and
  migration steps.
   

What You Will Bring:

Competencies and Skills:

• Proficient in Python, PERL, and shell scripting. Working experience in building and using data
  interfaces and REST APIs based on XML, JSON formats.
• Working knowledge of Linux (CentOS / RedHat), Linux container technology, networking and
  data storage fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of RDMBS and SQL.
• Solid understanding of Cloud computing design, Kubernetes based architectures and security
  principles.
• Proficient with Source Code Management and CICD deployments through Git/GitHub.
  Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of processes, automated deployment, and management of cloud environments in
  one or more third party cloud providers, i.e. AWS, GCP and Azure.
• Passionate about automation and standardization in implementation. Belief and practice in
  Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery.
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities (written / verbal) to deal confidently with
  customers and describe complex technical issues and specifications with clarity to multiple
  internal teams.
• Knowledge of financial risk and capital markets a plus.
• University Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent professional qualifications
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience implementing and integrating software solutions based on Linux, Python, PERL, and/or shell scripting.
• At least 3 years relevant professional experience with SaaS (Software as a Service) or PaaS (Platform as a Service) solutions
