What You Will Get To Do:

Our Human Resources Business Partners act as employee champions and change agents, assessing and anticipating HR-related needs. Our team formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organisation.

  • Consult and partner with business units, employees, managers and the cross-functional HR teams, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Understand and manage union environment and intervene in labor negotiating matters.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct thorough and objective investigations.
  • Prepare and maintain HR Dashboard with HR engagement, effectiveness, attrition, retention, ROI analysis and interpret dashboard outcomes for action items or internal advisory.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management and policy guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, performance reviews, career development and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training and compliance programs and may be involved in identifying training needs for business units.
  • Manage, maintain, consult on Union Enterprise Agreement with ability to negotiate, consolidate, review employment matters and propose for consultation.
  • Manage and coach leaders and teammates through cyclical and ad hoc corporate and regional programs and processes

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
  • 4-6 years' relevant experience as an HR Business Partner, including resolution of complex employee matters and union environment and deep understanding of Enterprise Agreement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; articulate and persuasive communicator.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing effective relationships across all levels of an organization and with diverse client groups.
  • Working knowledge of human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, performance management and statutory and provincial employment laws
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Nice to have: HR certification, Workday, other equivalent HRCMS experience.
