About the Role

The UK Institutional Outsourcing team are searching for an Investment Operations Analyst to support their Wealth Management clients, the position will be based in our Central London office. This team is an investment operations service group that provides back office operations, accounting, performance and reporting support to Asset Management, Insurance, Wealth Management and Alternative Fund clients.

The person in this position will be responsible for monitoring and managing daily and monthly tasks related to the trade and investment lifecycle of a wealth management client. Responsibilities will include assisting the team with the monitoring and processing of corporate actions, trade settlements, reconciliations, client reporting, securities pricing, account maintenance and daily controls.

Your Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and management of issues related to investment and trade lifecycle across multiple markets.
  • Trade support management – Matching, trade settlement fails resolution and confirmation. SWIFT. CTM, Tradesuite (DTCC).
  • Assisting with the daily monitoring, instructing and processing of corporate actions, through the full life cycle.
  • Daily reconciliation of investment portfolios versus custodian banks.
  • Verify and maintain security and portfolio, static and dynamic data.
  • Address ad hoc inquiries from the client/custodian banks including wealth related topics, trade support and reporting.
  • Work in partnership with product teams to resolve issues and client change requests as they occur.  
  • Client reporting and maintaining internal client support logs
  • Documentation of processes.

Your Experience

  • 2 - 3 Years previous investment operations experience within Middle Office or Back Office preferably within the Wealth Management, Investment Management or Operations Outsourcing Industry.
  • 1 - 2 years previous trade support and settlement experience. All markets.
  • Knowledge of SSI's, SWIFT, DTCC CTM & Tradesuite beneficial.
  • 1 - 2 years previous experience with investment corporate action event life-cycle. All markets.
  • Experience working in a time sensitive investment operations environment.
  • Strong knowledge of a range of asset classes, such as Equity, Fixed Income, Collectives and Derivatives.
  • Investment life cycle knowledge.
  • Proven ability to meet strict periodic deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and not afraid to question the status quo.
  • Knowledge of SQL database queries would be beneficial.
  • Professional certifications preferred.
  • Previous experience using GWP is advantageous.
