Description
What you will do: As an employee-owner, you will monitor and audit the quality of all manufactured goods and collaborate with related departments to find solutions to failure modes identified in or processes. This position will use quality-proven processes to determine root cause analysis and monitoring and measuring techniques to develop solutions.
Some Essential Duties:
- Support and maintain a documented Quality program to meet customer, company and ISO9001:2008 certification requirements.
- Develop procedures to support the objectives of the Quality department.
- Continually interact with customers and suppliers to resolve quality concerns and initiatives.
- Interface with other departments to provide training and assistance in resolving problems affecting quality.
- Ensure conformance to Quality program requirements through external/internal audits and corrective action program.
- Support the assessment of supplier qualifications to ensure their ability to meet relevant quality requirements.
- Establish and implement quality-awareness programs, audits, and develop systems to track, identify trends in nonconforming and warranty data and report results.
- Administer and work closely with the Engineering and Production departments to provide a safe working environment and a quality product.
- Develop standards of quality in manufacturing processes/tasks including multiple variables using data driven decisions with responsibility to carry out changes or monitor operations/ standards.
- Ability to implement change effectively across departments.
- Ability to lead teams in resolution of issues.
- Support MRB activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Four years' experience in quality, engineering, or warranty in manufacturing facility.
- Three years' experience supervising and leading teams.
- Customer service experience.
- ISO 9001:2018 Auditor Certification
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts
- General auditing experience (ISO9001:2018 or equivalent, Supplier, Layered Process)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. High level of energy and motivation.
- ASQ Quality Certifications or Lean / 6 Sigma Certification
- Must have good logical problem-solving skills and understand cost impact to products on decisions made.
- Ability to competently use Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access, Minitab or similar statistical software
