Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- 8+ years of Federal Government contracting (GovCon) experience in customer delivery, business development, or organizational transformation/change management roles
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and oral presentation) with high level of attention to detail
- Organized, aggressive, and highly skilled professional with proven success leading strategic initiatives with successful outcomes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including executive level communications and interface
- Experience with design and maintenance of corporate-level collaboration/ communication platforms and associated data architecture to facilitate access to relevant information
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proactive, process-oriented individual with strong attention to detail
- Experience effectively managing multiple simultaneous projects
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree (business, strategy, or related field)
- Organizational transformation/change management initiatives for GovCon companies $1B+ in annual revenue
- Professional certifications in business processes (Lean Six Sigma, Scrum, etc.)
- Experience with M&A related integrations (capabilities, processes, and systems)
Responsibilities
As the Strategic Initiatives Manager, you will work directly with SPA's Director of Strategic Initiatives to support high-visibility projects with a direct correlation to SPA's corporate objectives. This position will regularly interface with executive leadership, the growth team, customer delivery teams, marketing and communications team, and SPA's Office of Innovation and Initiatives (O2I), as well as external stakeholders. To pace our current growth trajectory, strategic initiatives will focus on articulation and continuous refinement of impactful messaging for SPA capabilities, as well as business practices and processes to effectively propagate critical data across a diverse set of stakeholders. As a rapidly growing company with a history of M&A related integrations, this position requires a strategic thinker comfortable working within a high-velocity, high-impact environment with aggressive timelines. This position is located at SPA's headquarters in Alexandria, VA.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Facilitate diverse groups of stakeholders with varying perspectives to create and aggregate critical company information and data.
- Business and competitive intelligence analysis to assess current state and desired end state for SPA capabilities and processes.
- Identification and support to organizational transformation and change management initiatives designed to increase data efficacy, communication, and collaboration amongst internal and external stakeholders.
- Assessment and integration of concepts and processes to rapidly ingest, message, and propagate data across the organization.
- Assist with marketing and communication efforts in support of growth-related activities and initiatives.
- Build strong relationships across the company and foster collaborative teams.
- Effectively communicate and build consensus across diverse groups of stakeholders to achieve objectives and execute against aggressive schedules.
- Identify, interpret, and integrate qualitative data in support of a variety of strategic objectives.
- Identify platforms and data governance processes to support effective dissemination and consumption of information in a variety of formats for different audiences (highly technical to laymen).
- Support growth-related activities including, but not limited to, participation in capture and solutioning sessions, proposal review and development, proposal color team, and cost compliance reviews.
