Qualifications

Required:

  • 7+ years of acquisition, design, or operational experience with OPIR and space-based environmental monitoring
  • 10+ years of experience with military operations, acquisition, or design of military systems in general
  • Understanding of the DoDI 5000 series
  • Master's Degree
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Desired:

  • Previous experience supporting a PEO or PMO


Responsibilities

The Program Analyst will support the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategic, Space, and Intelligence Portfolio Management (DASD (SSIPM)) in the Space and Missile Defense (SMD) Directorate. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the remote sensing portfolio focusing on Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) and space-based environmental monitoring mission areas. The ideal candidate will apply deep Defense Acquisition expertise, and experience with programs including Next Generation OPIR, Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS), DoD Weather satellite programs, Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE), and Enterprise Ground Service (EGS) architecture. Will support major DoD staffs and senior leaders, develop decision-ready material for senior leaders, and apply the initiative to navigate headquarters and acquisition processes to support the DASD portfolio management responsibilities.
