Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must have 5 years of Combat Systems management experience as a Naval Officer or Chief Petty Officer or equivalent supervising combat systems configuration, operation, maintenance, and repair
- Naval Warfare Specialist with warfare experience in implementation of Task Group Concept as an Air Defense Warfare Commander (AMDC/W) or as a senior staff member for a Task Group/Force Commander, or as a Senior Facilitator with equivalent experience training warfare commanders or senior staff members
- Experience operating the following systems: Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) and Multi-system Automated Remote Control Interface (MARCI) System
- Must have 5 years experience operating a C5I system in a FST or equivalent complex architecture as well as the management of combat systems configuration, operations
- Must have experience in naval warfare operations or conducting training for naval warfare or equivalent joint experience.
- Must have 5 years experience scenario development/training experience and configuration and operation experience for one or more of the following systems: Modeling and Simulation, Joint Semi Automated Forces (JSAF), Multi-System Automated Remote Control Interface (MARCI), Battle Force Team Trainer (BFTT); Tactical Data Information Link generation systems supporting LOS Link 11(A) /16(J), Satellite- J, Link 16, Global Command and Control System-Maritime (GCCS-M); Tactical Voice/Data Communications
- Tactical Action Officer and AAWC experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of: AAW Tactics, Technical Systems, and Instructions, including Navy OPTASK
- US Navy Surface ship C5I systems and embedded training systems supporting synthetic training
- Understanding of the detailed data exchange requirements of the various operational areas in which naval forces deploy and how to exercise that capability to ensure ships obtain the highest degree of mission readiness.
Responsibilities
Afloat Training Group Pacific (ATGPAC) is tasked with the training and certification of all Pacific Fleet ships, ensuring their readiness for dynamic naval and joint operations across the combat spectrum. With evolving training standards and requirements, ATGPAC supports the U.S. Pacific Fleet by delivering high-quality, adaptable afloat training to Navy and Coast Guard Sailors. The mission emphasizes the development of ships' training teams, special evolution teams, and watch teams to build sustainable, onboard capabilities for continuous combat readiness throughout deployment cycles. This positions support ATGPAC in its mission to provide Surface Warfare training in the areas of Air Defense and Air Defense Warfare Commander.
Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. California Pay Transparency Range: 100-135k.
