Position Summary: The Adjunct Instructor I provides high-level instruction to armed professionals and responsible citizens. The Adjunct Instructor I will teach basic, intermediate, and advanced level courses and/or Instructor level courses based upon previous experience or qualifications and will work with Instructors, other internal team members, and the SIG SAUER customer base.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
*Provide expert instruction of designated courses with specific focus on specialty courses as assigned using current approved lesson plans.
*Meet established course objectives and timelines on assigned training courses and support events.
*Provide an optimal training environment in the classroom and on the range, utilizing SIG SAUER Academy instructional methods, practices, and procedures.
*Represent SIG SAUER during events, conferences, trade shows, commercial sales events, and other interactions with the public.
*Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
*May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.
*May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
*Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
*Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
*Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education/Experience & Skills:
*High School diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of instructor level experience in providing training in safe handling, manipulation, and implementation of firearms preferred.
*Law enforcement or military instructor level experience preferred.
*Expert knowledge of weapons, tactics, and the proper handling and use of a wide variety of firearms including handguns, rifles, shotguns, and automatic weapons.
*Prior Armorer experience is a plus.
*Flexibility to travel both domestically and internationally up to two weeks per month.
*Expert presentation skills and the ability to speak in a public setting.
*Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
*Communicate effectively to leadership regarding problems and corrective action.
*Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and adapt quickly to changes.
Working Conditions:
*Work is primarily standing (90 + % of the shift) except for breaks and lunch periods.
*The duties of this position typically require exposure to a shooting range where frequent standing, kneeling, running, sitting, crouching, crawling, twisting, grasping and walking can be expected along with frequent lifting up to 40 pounds and/or moving of equipment cases and materials up to 100 pounds.
*Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently at a minimum 50% of the shift, as well as undergo repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and ankle motions.
*Must demonstrate proficient fine motor skills, be able to grip, reach, pull, and turn.
*Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral and depth perception and ability to focus.
*Assignments will require exposure to varying climate and environmental conditions both extreme cold and warm weather conditions for extended periods of time.
*Exposure to a variety of firearms and other weapons, related chemicals, gun cleaning solvents, ammunition and explosive materials, ammunition smoke and hand and power tools related to weapon and range repairs; additional information is available from EHS upon request.
*Work includes exposure to extreme noise of firearms, requiring the use of ear protection equipment. Must possess mobility, vision, hearing, and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties to be performed.
*Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
*Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. security mandates.
