Certification Details
• Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Prior to acceptance, Dysrhythmia (Basic) Exam through RELIAS is required.
• Two attempts for Dysrhythmia Exam allowed.

Job Details
• Telemetry RN needed for a travel contract.
• 2 years of experience required.
• The right candidate will hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIH and CA License.

Schedule Information
• Shifts: 12 hr shifts.
• Shift starts 645.
• Report is at the bedside.
• OT and extra shifts are available.
• Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it.
• Schedules are out 4 weeks.
• Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves 'available' for extra shifts and make trades with other staff.
• Block scheduling is generally not available.
• Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor.

Unit Specific Information
• Unit: Telemetry 2 South
• Beds: 14 South, 8 East.
• Ratios: 1:4
• Charge Nurse: Yes, generally does not take patients, but will do break relief.
• Nurse Aides: Yes as census and staffing dictates. 1-2 normally.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holidays: Rotate in with core staff
• Scrub Color: Navy - under shirts must be navy, white, or black.
• Tele: Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.
• Vents: No
• Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes
• IV Team: No
• RT 24/7: Yes
• Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
• Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Cardiac patient focus, general overflow.
• Stable non-titrating Cardizem, Amio, Heparin.
• Must be flexible team member.
• Charge RN rounds with interdiciplinary team.

Additional Details
• Modules are required to be done before start of assignment.
• Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete-this time is not billable to the hospital.
• COVID requirements include medical or religious declinations.
