Shore Lodge Whitetail Club is one of the Northwest's finest hotels and Exclusive Clubs, located on the sandy shores of Payette Lake in beautiful McCall Idaho. As a member of the Food and Beverage team, this position is responsible for creating an atmosphere that will inspire our guests and members. This position is meant for a server who is focused on hospitality and enjoys creating an exceptional dining experience. Working with a staff of passionate, hospitable and very talented individuals, the ideal candidate is as comfortable selling the menu and serving as explaining food and wine. We look for long term, career minded professionals who appreciate working with other like-minded AAA, 4 star hospitality individuals. Experience in a 4 star dining room is ideal – in an exclusive club or resort where a fine dining culture is appreciated.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
• Greet guests and present specials
• Take orders and deliver food and beverage accurately and timely
• Calculate chit accurately
• Suggest and sell various items from the menus
• Functional wine and cocktail knowledge with basic preparation techniques
• Know the Shore Lodge's history
• Know McCall and the surrounding area well enough to help familiarize out of town guests with our local offerings
Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
• Able to communicate effectively with and receive information from guests and team members
• Ability to multi-task while being highly organized, detail oriented
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Must be able to correctly take a guest's order, enter it into the POS system, and correctly tender it
• Ability to adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment and techniques in order to perform the essential functions of the job
• Able to carry 25 lbs on a large oval tray
• Lifting supplies or equipment of thirty (30) pounds or more
• Able to count, read and write in the English language
• Frequent periods of pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reaching
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Constant visual and hearing acuity
• Frequent agility and dexterity required
• Functional knowledge of food techniques for preparation
• An enthusiasm for the culinary world, wine and spirits
