WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
- Greet guests, creating an exceptional first impression.
- Support of your team members, recognize and act on strengths and weaknesses, implement strategies to train for areas of improvement, and praise for a job well done.
- Be sensitive and respond appropriately to the guest experience by paying attention to physical facility details (cleanliness, temperature, music volume, crispness of presentation, etc.).
- Lead your teams to higher guest satisfaction by giving them the tools and the training to be effective
- Anticipate guests' needs and provide appropriate service.
- Assist other team members as needed and provide coverage as necessary for any shift needed.
- Train and develop fellow associates.
Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- 1+ years of relevant Forbes/AAA, 3/4 star/diamond service experience in like property.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a fine dining environment.
- Possess a complete understanding of each of the service staff's responsibilities and a working understanding of how they perform their job duties: taking orders, bussing tables, running food, room service, hosting the door, etc.
- Ability to multi-task while providing excellent customer service, maintaining a high degree of organization and detail.
- Ability to train on basic functions and correct chits on POS system and follow protocol with ticket errors.
- Ability to quickly assess a potential crisis situation between associates, between guest and associate, between guest and guest and be able to diffuse.
- Basic knowledge of liquors, mixers, cocktails, their makeup, history, flavor profile, preparation and service.
- Lifting supplies or equipment of thirty (30) pounds or more.
- Possess excellent cash handling skills and able to count, read and write in the English language.
- An enthusiasm for the food and beverage world coupled with maturity and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge and time spent in both front of the house and back of the house positions, as well as bartending.
- Possess an understanding of Shore Lodge's history and the ability to share knowledge of McCall and the surrounding area to help familiarize out of town guests with our local offerings.
- Basic Computer skills in Excel and Word, keyboarding.
