We are looking for dedicated and skilled bartenders to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to join a truly service driven environment and contribute your passion about service. This position is meant for a bartender who is focused on hospitality and creating an exceptional dining experience, with an interest in creating handcrafted cocktails. Our bar is a seemingly endless library of spirits, hosted by a staff of passionate, hospitable and very talented individuals. The ideal candidate is as comfortable mixing cocktails as they are serving and explaining food and wine. WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
• Greet guests, create an enjoyable lasting impression; manage guest requests, food orders, enter and deliver orders, accurately calculate tabs, operate the POS system and exchange money
• Prepare cocktails, pour wine and beer, in a consistent fashion to Shore Lodge specifications
• Anticipate guests' needs and provide appropriate service
• Deliver food and beverage orders accurately and timely
• Check identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers
• Place orders for liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies, maintain a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
• Clean and organize the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to streamline processes and maintain a sanitary environment
• Slice, pit, and prepare fruit garnishes for drinks and prepare and serve snacks, or other food items for customers
• Recognize potential intoxication, restrict alcohol intake and attempt to curtail inappropriate behavior
• Know Shore Lodge's history, McCall and the surrounding area well enough to help familiarize out of town guests with our local offerings
• Assist other team members as needed
Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Experience in A 4 star dining room is ideal – in an exclusive club or resort where a strong fine dining culture is appreciated. Having a repertoire of classic cocktails, old and new and creative cocktails is required.
• Training and/or Experience with Bartending, extensive knowledge of cocktail mixers and the ability to prepare and present them to Shore Lodge standards.
• Knowledge of liquors, their makeup, history, and flavor profile
• Mixing beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, fruits, etc…
• Taking beverage orders from customers or wait staff, hand crafting unique drinks and serving as requested, paying extreme attention to detail
• Staying guest focused, anticipating guest requests in a timely manner
• Providing a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons
• Complying with all food and beverage regulations
