Pay Range: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour.

What you will be doing:

• Operating a railcar mover -We provide training and certification!
• Responsible for spotting railcars on the correct track; moving empty railcars and building the outbound train.
• Performing inbound and outbound Inspection of rail cars
• Sampling and unloading non-petroleum oils from rail cars utilizing pumps and onsite equipment.
• Cross-training and assisting with the different functions performed at the facility.
• Participating in and promoting the Savage safety program    

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• Experience in the Rail Industry and/or truck loading/unloading is a plus, work experience in an industrial environment is preferred.
• Perform basic maintenance on unloading equipment (filter changes, etc)
• Basic computer skills, attend and pass all training associated with job-related coursework.  This includes but is not limited to:  OSHA, HazMat, and FRA-related courses.
• Clear drug / alcohol test / criminal background check 
• Basic computer skills, a high school diploma or equivalent work experience, for safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand, and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English. 

·       Here are some of the physical requirements of this role:

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required for safety.
• Respirators may be required due to the nature of our work; therefore, a clean-shaven face is required to ensure proper fit and use of safety equipment Comfortable with heights up to 20 feet
• Walk 5+ miles per day on rail ballast or similar terrain.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb up and down stairs, open and close large valves, connect hoses up to 4 inches, and use hand tools to open and close railcar connections.
