• Position: CLINICAL EDUCATOR - Perianesthesia Staff Development and Education Program Coordinator
• TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY
• SHIFT: 5x8, 0645 - 1530 (no weekends)
• Supports the standards, mission, goals, and objectives of Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital Surgical Services.
• Responsible for the development, coordination and evaluation of Surgical Services Perianesthesia orientation, staff development, and patient/family education.
• Contributes to quality patient care by following Cottage Health System's and department-specific policies and procedures.
• Assumes a leadership role, is a resource for others on current educational theory, professional development, and evidence-based practice.
• Directs and assists assigned personnel with their responsibilities.
• Collaborates with administration and department directors/managers on the development of programs to meet those needs.
• Leads and teaches others, actively supports a collaborative environment for positive patient outcomes.

Job Requirements
• LEVEL OF EDUCATION: Minimum: BSN, Preferred: Master's Degree
• Minimum: Three (3) years clinical/teaching/leadership experience for perianesthesia.
• Preferred: Three years critical care and/or post anesthesia care in level one trauma center
• Knowledge of supervisory practices, techniques, and methods for staff development.
• Must have a background in Preop and PACU
• Must have Critical care skills (example: ICU, SICU, NICU, PICU)

Schedule Information
• SHIFT: 5x8, 0645 - 1530 (no weekends)
