As an Accountant reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records by focusing primarily on bank reconciliations while also providing support in other key accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bank Reconciliation Focus:
- Perform bank reconciliations for multiple accounts and currencies
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding items in a timely manner
- Prepare and post journal entries related to bank reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all reconciliation activities
- General Accounting Support:
- Assist with month-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Provide support in preparing financial statements and management reports
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks as needed
- Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth accounting operations
Qualifications:
- Active Certified Public Accountant CPA-CA designation
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role preferably in audit firm.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Hands-on experience with Sage 500 accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
