Certification Details
• American Heart Association only. ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required for various departments
• Advanced EFM required for L&D - must be updated every 2 years
• Proof of current license
• License Verification required within 30 days of start
• Nursys verification run for all RN, LVN
• IV Certification (LVN/LPN)
• FIRE CARD (LA City facilities only - EHMC & SOH)
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) might be required for certain departments
• Sonographer - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Certificate

Job Details
• PHS-1972 Respiratory Care - NICU RT Under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director/manager the RCP I is responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician. Emphasis will be toward the assessment planning implementation and documentation of care with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient. In the absence of a supervisor may be assigned/identified as Lead RCP having responsibility for the section or department during their shift.

Job Requirements
• State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• 2 years experience as a RCP preferred
• ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current
• NRP certificate preferred
• PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent is requir
