SAIC has an immediate opening on a prime contract for a Wireless Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in cellular infrastructure, Android operating systems, Linux systems, network engineering, cryptography, RF theory, and technical writing. You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our wireless communication systems, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain wireless infrastructure, including 5G/4G systems and telecommunications routing
• Utilize working knowledge of the Android operating system and app development for technical debugging and system optimization
• Leverage expertise in Linux systems to manage and troubleshoot Android-based platforms
• Apply network engineering skills to ensure robust communication protocols, including TCP, UDP, and TLS
• Implement and adhere to modern cryptography best practices, utilizing knowledge of RSA, AES, ECC, and computer security
• Analyze and apply RF theory principles to optimize RF emissions, GPS communication, CDMA/FDM, WiFi, and Bluetooth connections
• Produce clear and concise technical documentation to support system development and maintenance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide wireless engineering expertise and solutions

Qualifications

• Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly
• Bachelor's Degree, or experience can be substituted for the degree
• Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in wireless infrastructure, including 5G/4G systems
• Proficiency in the Android operating system and Android app development is strongly desired
• Strong knowledge of Linux and UNIX systems
• Solid understanding of network engineering and protocols (TCP, UDP, TLS)
• Basic knowledge of cryptography and computer security best practices
• Familiarity with RF theory and communication principles
• Excellent technical writing skills
