SAIC is seeking a Help Desk Technician to join our team of diverse individuals in Chantilly, VA. This position requires an
active Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a Polygraph. As part of a team maintaining a long-standing information management system (IMS), you will work to resolve technical problems and answer queries by telephone or self-service ticket. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Diagnoses, identifies, isolates, and analyzes problems utilizing historical database records
  • Route calls and/or tickets to subject matter experts, when necessary
  • Maintains and updates records and tracking databases
  • Alerts management to recurring problems and patterns of problems
  • Maintains and improves training materials for the system and host live training sessions both in-person and virtual

The position includes daily interactions with the engineering staff to support quality assurance activities and provide
feedback for priorities affecting the user base.

Clearance required to start: Top Secret/SCI. Clearance required to obtain to remain on the program: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.

Qualifications

Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience

Required Skills:

  •  Associates Degree in IT related field
  • 1+ Year(s) of experience working directly with Information Technology
  • Ability to collect actionable information from a non-technical community
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • IA-relevant certification (CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, etc.)
  • Clearance required to start: Top Secret/SCI. Clearance required to obtain to remain on the program: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated web application development experience on UNIX- and/or LINUX-based platforms
  • Experience working with web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, JSP, etc.
  • Previous Help Desk experience
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
