Make a difference for national security by leading a team of dedicated professionals in supporting the Space Development Agency (SDA) in developing and deploying the Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) software development and hosting environment for the National Defense Space Architecture (NDSA). These systems establish software development capabilities to securely and rapidly field mission applications developed by BMC3 ecosystem participants in support of Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) objectives.
SAIC has an immediate need for an on-site Software Test Engineer / On-site Field Engineer with software & hardware development, integration, operations experience for space and ground systems. SAIC is looking for an innovative and motivated individual to be SAIC's on-site representative to plan and execute testing, maintenance, and support anomaly resolution regression testing in a classified Sandbox Test Lab. Our chosen representative work with the SDA operations team to assess, test and onboard code developed in legacy or external environments such that it meets the functional requirements for integration and deployment in the BMC3 ecosystem operational satellite mesh network. Candidates must have experience with planning, executing, and testing software developmental programs with demonstrated ability to lead the software development team in support of program management to meet customer milestones.
Primary responsibilities include:
· Support BMC3 Ecosystem DevSecOps CI/CD SW and HW Test Plan Execution.
· Network and Cloud Practitioner for AWS products – Executing SW application from the Cloud to on-prem Hardware engineering development units.
· Deploy SW artifacts to an air gapped government IP network - Kubernetes in Kafka infrastructure.
· Support application development teams external to SAIC execute their SW test on representative hardware and SNOC network particular to SDA site environment.
· Provide Application Analysis to brief impact and App utilization to SDA mission staff, including military, government civilian, and contractor operators.
· Maintain continuous monitoring of the Secret BMC3 products; BMC3 Ground Hardware and SW Applications.
· Perform regression testing of applications in Canary Operation (anomaly response testing).
· Support SDA O&I and coordinate with BMC3 Application Developers during BMC3 Application anomaly response checklist and processes.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree and ten (10+); master's degree and four plus (4+); PhD or JD and two plus (2+) years of experience with systems engineering and test experience in space, ground, operations and sustainment segments of NASA, DoD, NSA, or NRO programs.
· US Citizen, must have a Secret Clearance
· Proven delivery record with Systems engineering, testing, and integration experience with hardware and software systems.

· Strong interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams.
· Experienced at self-starting, seeking solutions, and works well in a team environment.
· Demonstrated experience working with Space Force/Air Force/DoD customers in an acquisition environment, with space and/or ground systems.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Familiarity with cloud-based systems, operating systems, databases, networking, firewalls, Network Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) and host-based IDS and IPS.
· Desired Qualifications:
· Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
· SEC+ or eligible to acquire certification within 60 days of employment.
· Advanced Degree in Science, Engineering or Math.
