SAIC is seeking a Software Engineer located near Huntsville, AL to support the Army Ground Systems contract to complete backend development to program web applications, cloud applications, computer vision applications, and mobile apps that will upgrade the software on ground defense systems.

NOTE: This position is mostly a Remote / Work from Home position, but will require to be onsite as needed in Huntsville, AL.  

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Develop program web applications, cloud applications, computer vision applications, and mobile apps
• Upgrade software on ground defense systems
• Focus on key areas of software engineering including back-end development, API creation, database management, containerization, and cloud services
• Contribute to designing, coding, testing, and deploying applications within these domains

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors and two (2)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
• Experience in software development using languages such as C#, Python, Go, Java, Swift, etc
• Experience in either Cloud computing, Mobile development, OR Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML)
• Experience with Git for version control
• Familiar with Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems
• Deployment experience with containerization and Docker
• Configuration automation using Docker, scripting, etc.
• Database experience with major database technologies (SQL or NoSQL)

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

• Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
• Must be a current US Citizen
