SAIC is seeking a Navy Installation Field Technician to join and support our team in San Diego, CA, must be local to area.
This role does require sporadic travel up to 25%+ of the time
JOB DUTIES:
- Motivated individuals wanted for the installation of electronic and support equipment aboard U.S. Naval, Coast Guard, and MSC Vessels.
- Will be required to work independently, as part of a team, or as a team leader to perform installation tasks demonstrating sound judgment and the ability to identify and resolve installation issues.
- Tasked with reading, interpreting, and working from technical data, test procedures, arrangement and block wiring diagrams.
- Written and verbal communication skills must be strong enough to effectively communicate with co-workers, managers and customers.
- Additional work includes redlining and/or maintaining documentation such as engineering drawings and conducting on-site installation troubleshooting.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's degree and at least three (3) years of experience with general cable installation. Additional experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance after start
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Experience performing installation work on U.S. Navy ships.
Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
