Introduction 

Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).  The Air Force and Combatant Commands Business Group of SAIC is seeking a ServiceNow Architecture Subject Matter Expert to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.

SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation's information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).

Job Description 

Position is open to remote work with the ability to report to Quantico, VA if needed.

The ServiceNow Architecture Subject Matter Expert, will assume a pivotal leadership role in shaping the ServiceNow solutions for the One IT Program. This individual will offer expert guidance in the ServiceNow platform and be adept at leveraging its functionalities to drive the ITSM's architectural framework. A critical component of this role will include building and nurturing strategic relationships with government program offices, ensuring the alignment of ServiceNow capabilities with their evolving needs. In addition, the role entails the oversight of governance, policy development, and compliance within the organization's ServiceNow infrastructure, upholding SAIC's commitment to delivering robust and secure IT solutions to our government partners.

·       Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with government program offices to understand their needs and ensure that ServiceNow services are aligned with their mission objectives and workflows.

·       Cultivate a governance adherence and framework that encompasses policy, maintenance, and enforcement related to the usage of ServiceNow within the organization, ensuring that best practices are followed.

·       Drive the architectural management of ServiceNow, ensuring that the solutions are scalable, secure, and comply with the necessary government regulations and agency policies.

·       Guide engineering teams to design and implement ServiceNow solutions that are innovative, efficient, and congruent with the agency's strategic IT objectives.

·       Serve as an authoritative resource on the capabilities of ServiceNow, including its suite of services like ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, and other suites as required.

·       Forge and iterate the ServiceNow architectural blueprint, ensuring it resonates with the organization's business demands, IT standards, and platform governance requirements.

·       Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to develop coherent ServiceNow roadmaps and frameworks that underpin and facilitate business and operational functions.

·       Champion continuous enhancement of the ServiceNow environment, infusing industry benchmarks and established best practices to foster efficiency and innovation.

·       Supervise all technical facets of ServiceNow deployments, spanning requirement analysis to the delivery phase.

·       Utilize technical leadership to steer ServiceNow-related determinations that impact the wider IT architecture strategy.

·       Promote ingenuity by incorporating cutting-edge technologies and novel process methodologies into the extant system architectures and designs.

·       Create and enforce policies and procedures that safeguard the integrity, security, compliance, and privacy of data within the ServiceNow infrastructure.

·       Participate in the monitoring of ServiceNow system performance, compile performance reports, and recommend remedial actions when necessary.

·       Cultivate the professional growth of the engineering team by providing mentorship, identifying educational opportunities, and setting clear professional development objectives.

·       Act as the primary liaison with ServiceNow representatives to facilitate support and to exchange knowledge effectively.

·       Lead the response to technical audits, participate in compliance assessments, and ensure the timely resolution of any identified issues related to ServiceNow governance and policy adherence.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

It is required that the ServiceNow Architecture Subject Matter Expert have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of eighteen (18) years of IT experience, with at least five (5) years in a managerial capacity overseeing engineering or IT service management teams.
  • Us Citizenship and must currently hold an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Demonstrable expertise as a ServiceNow SME with comprehensive knowledge of the platform's modules, functionalities, and extensive operational capacity.
  • Preferred certifications include ServiceNow Administration, Implementation Specialist, and/or ServiceNow Application Developer credentials.
  • Adept with ITIL frameworks and best practices, ideally with formal certification.
  • In-depth experience in architectural management and design within multifaceted environments, with a track record of successfully integrating systems and processes.
  • Robust comprehension of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management qualities that motivate, inspire, and propel the engineering teams towards achieving strategic objectives.
  • Outstanding problem-solving, organizational, and project management capabilities, with a history of driving complex projects to successful completion.
  • Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to demystify and convey intricate technical concepts to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders and government officials.

Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
