SAIC is seeking a highly experienced Optical Engineer to provide Systems Engineering services to a Government customer. The Optical Engineer will have a working understanding of optical networks and lab experience manipulating and maintaining optical equipment. You will also demonstrate a solid systems engineering background enabling development, flow-down, and verification of systems requirements.
Qualifications
- Must currently hold a TS/SCI & Poly
- Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar field
- 14+ years of Systems Engineering, or other relevant experience, with demonstrated understanding of optical engineering practices and principles within the customer domain
- Ability to advise staff on the technical merits of solutions, experience with Statement of Work preparation and Requirements and Risk Management
- Experience in advanced technology research and development, including testing and demonstrations
- Ability to maintain a high level of productivity with minimal oversight
