SAIC is seeking a Technical Lead with deep expertise in Angular and Node.js ecosystems to lead our development team supporting the AFMS program. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with team management responsibilities in building sophisticated training and simulation applications. 

Technical Stack

  • Frontend: Angular, NGRX/Redux, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
  • Backend: Node.js, RESTful APIs
  • Database: PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB
  • DevOps: Docker, Cloud platform
  • Learning Tech: SCORM, xAPI, cmi5
  • Tools: Moodle, Big Blue Button, Rustici, IntelliBoard

Primary Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership
  • Architect and develop complex Angular/Node.js applications with state management using NGRX
  • Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs
  • Lead technical decision-making for frontend architecture and patterns
  • Establish coding standards and best practices for Angular/NGRX implementation
  • Mentor junior developers in modern Angular practices and state management

Project Leadership

  • Drive sprint planning and reviews
  • Interface directly with government stakeholders
  • Manage project timelines and technical deliverables
  • Lead code reviews and architectural discussions
  • Guide team in implementing best practices for Angular/Node.js development

Qualifications

Technical Requirements 

Expert-level experience with:

  • Angular (recent versions) and NGRX/Redux patterns
  • Node.js backend development
  • TypeScript and modern JavaScript
  • RESTful API design and implementation
  • Strong understanding of:
  • State management patterns
  • Angular performance optimization
  • Full-stack application architecture
  • Cloud deployment strategies
  • Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Required Qualifications

  • 9+ years of experience (with Bachelor's degree) or 7+ years (with Master's degree) in software development
  • US Citizen and Active Secret clearance
  • Proven experience leading development teams
  • Experience with learning technology protocols (SCORM, xAPI)

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
