SAIC is seeking a Senior Communications Analyst to support the Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific (NIWC PAC) Naval Messaging CB-ISEA. The work will be conducted at the Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific (NIWC PAC) San Diego, CA, Old Town Center. Ideal candidate will need to be local to area. The SAIC Team provides a full range of engineering, technical support, management, and logistics services in support of the Messaging programs. Support of these systems includes full life cycle logistics support, fleet training, technical support for installations, providing systems and software engineering, technical documentation, integration and testing of hardware and software functions, and testing of new baselines and/or new capability of messaging systems.
JOB DUTIES:
- Support the documentation development of the Engineering and Logistics functions of the Naval Messaging CB-ISEA.
- Edit, proofread and provide writing support, the conceptualization, layout and preparation of high quality graphics, text, and templates, and the design, preparation, and creation of new media projects on non-technical and/or technical documents or sections of documents prepared by writers such as manuals, Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), procedures and specifications.
- Checking drafts for format, clarity and overall cohesiveness.
- Ensuring documents meet editorial and government specifications and adhering to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style.
- Producing and/or revising technical articles, proposals, publications, books, manuals, reports, and marketing materials and determining project requirements and presenting drafts of finished product to the user ensuring high quality of output.
- Reviewing rough drafts and provide suggestions.
- Design and develop multimedia applications, systems and products involving computer graphics and interactive computing using a variety of new media software applications, techniques and tools.
- Develop logistics documentation and training manuals.
- Assist with logistics business processes.
- Develop Interactive Electronic Training Manuals (IETM) for Navy systems.
- Develop and update Planned Maintenance System (PMS) materials.
- Develop and update Cyber Hygiene Maintenance Guide (CHMG).
- Participate in the maintenance of the Master Bill of Materials (BOM) for program of record systems.
- Provide general editing of ILS documentation.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have an Interim Secret Clearance to start.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance after start.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Experience with MadCap Flare Software (for IETM development).
- Experience with U.S. Navy Model Based Product Support (MBPS).
- Familiarity with ILS Support for NAVWAR Program's of Record.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
