SAIC has an immediate opening for a Project Scheduler to join our team and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining detailed resource-loaded schedules for implementation, developmental, and operational systems. As a Project Scheduler, you will work with developmental and operational teams to develop detailed schedules and assists in keeping these schedules current.
Envisioned day-to-day tasks:
- Develop and maintain the overall Integrated Master Schedule, integrating inputs from developers and/or partners
- Provide analysis of performance including critical path trends, and provide reports/briefings as directed
- Ensure program developed IMS is compatible with other IMS's that would allow visibility into broader program critical path and other schedule analysis
- Analyze and/or integrate contractor provided IMS's, perform analysis of performance and overall schedule practices, providing assessment and recommendations to Program Office personnel
- Assess contractor provided System Engineering artifacts, such as test plans and RVTM's from the aspect of schedule realism
- Mentor other Program Office personnel on appropriate scheduling practices
- Support customer with other as assigned duties related to program management, execution and communications
Qualifications
- You must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly clearance
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited academic institution
- 9 or more years of relevant experience
- 5 or more years of experience in providing scheduling support to large scale acquisition efforts
- Demonstrated knowledge of proper scheduling processes, including appropriate management of slack and determination of critical path
- Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Project, including using advanced functions (such as Monte Carlo analysis) to perform assessments of development contractor Integrated Master Schedules
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, extremely compartmented work environment
- Strong communication skills, including providing written and oral presentations to audiences from a diverse set of backgrounds
Desired:
- 10 or more years of experience in providing scheduling support to large scale acquisition efforts
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited university
- Familiarity with tools such as CAMEO and DOORS and the ability to extract data from deliverables to inform schedule analysis
- Formal System Engineering certification
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
