Position Summary
SAIC is seeking a Project Manager to join our PMO team supporting a major state & local government customer. The Project Manager has primary responsibility for managing IT infrastructure projects, overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serving as liaison between the project team, customer and line management. This person will be responsible for:
· Reviewing status of projects and budgets; managing schedules and preparing status reports
· Assessing project issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
· Reporting on project or program level schedule, quality, and adherence to agreed upon standards.
· Developing budgets and schedules to meet project requirements, monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met.
· Monitoring project progress and conduct problem solving with project managers, line managers, and customers.
· Using and applying industry practices, techniques, and standards in project management.
· Recommending changes to team policies as necessary.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
· Bachelors and five (5) years or more of related experience; Masters and three (3) years or more of related experience.
· Must have an active PMP Certification
· ITIL Certification Preferred
· Proficient with MS Office Suite, MS Project, MS Visio (preferred), SharePoint, and Adobe Products.
· Prior experience working with ServiceNow project scheduling function preferred.
· Prior experience using MS Project Online preferred.
· Prior experience working with or for a Commonwealth of VA Agency or VITA desired.
· Prior experience working in or supporting a PMO
· Experience developing risk management and mitigation planning
· Significant experience supporting project scheduling and managing projects
· Prior experience in Supplier Management
· Experience working in ITSM
· Prior experience working with ServiceNow
This position requires SAIC's customer approval of your qualifications to support the Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA) - (MSI) Support Services Contract which includes successful completion of the VITA Enterprise Background Check, comprised of a Virginia State Police and Federal Bureau of Investigations fingerprint background investigation.
