SAIC is seeking a Paralegal Support Analyst to support our team in Washington D.C. Join SAIC's OneSETA Team to provide our government customer with Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) support.
Specific duties of the Paralegal Support Analyst include:
- Ability to Follow Directions: Capable of carefully following multi-step instructions, ensuring that tasks are completed timely, accurately, and as requested. Once a task is completed, send confirmation to the requestor that such task has been completed. If the task is not able to be completed by the time/date requested due to a conflicting task priority, promptly consult with the AGC or Deputy AGC for guidance regarding which task should be prioritized.
- Tech-Savvy: Adept at using modern office technology and tools, ensuring efficiency in daily tasks. This includes troubleshooting basic issues and optimizing workflows through technology and assisting attorneys with their technical questions about technology tools such as utilization of Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, and Adobe.
- Knowledge Management : Skilled in organizing, storing, and retrieving information. This includes expertise in managing digital content and files across platforms ensuring easy access and clear organization.
- SharePoint Acumen: Proficient in SharePoint, capable of creating, managing, and sharing documents and resources with teams, while maintaining data integrity and security. Ability to work closely with attorneys who can given guidance on digital file plans and then implement the digital file plan on Sharepoint for archival of documents. Ability to upload documents and PDF e-mails containing legal advice and then accurately placing the documents in the folder specified by the attorney or uploading to a task tracking system within Sharepoint. Ability to generate reports and metrics from information contained in Sharepoint.
- MS Office Suite Expertise: Advanced abilities in Microsoft Office, particularly:
- Word: Creating and formatting professional, error-free documents.
- Excel: Strong skills in data management, including the use of functions, formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
- Powerpoint: Strong skills in creating powerpoint presentations using information provided by attorneys. Ability to graphically represent information and insert visual images and video clips.
- Outlook: Efficient email management, calendar scheduling, and meeting coordination.
- PDF Proficiency: Competent in handling PDF documents, including converting files, editing, and ensuring document formatting and accessibility.
- Error-Free Work: Strong attention to detail, producing accurate, high-quality work without mistakes, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all deliverables.
- Follow-Through and Deadlines: Consistently meets deadlines with effective time management, ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely manner and that projects are tracked through to completion.
- Timely Accomplishment of Work: Maintains a strong work ethic and sense of urgency, ensuring that tasks and responsibilities are handled efficiently and promptly.
- Concur Travel System and Expense Reports: Ability to accurately support the booking of travel for the attorneys; assist attorneys in setting up Concur account; submitting travel and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Ability to Multi-Task: Ability to handle multiple tasks throughout the day such as uploading documents to Sharepoint; supporting travel arrangements; and working on Excel spreadsheets.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS 2+ Years of relevant experience or Master's + 1 years of relevant experience (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust requiring U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance requiring U.S. Citizenship
- This position requires attendance in office at least once / week in Washington D.C.
- Experience utilizing SharePoint with creating folders for document repository and modifying SharePoint site for file management.
- Provide support to senior level officials and attorney with planning and submitting travel requests, and reconciling travel expenses to submit travel vouchers.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in a Systems Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) environment.
- Prior DHS contractor fitness (suitability) authorization determination.
- Prior DHS experience including any DHS components or HQ Directorates, especially DHS S&T.
- Detailed knowledge of and recent demonstrated experience working with appropriate offices and staff within the HSE, DHS, other Federal Agencies, Congress, foreign partners, industry groups, and private sector stakeholder entities on issues relating to the DHS mission space.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
