SAIC is seeking a missile defense modeling and simulation analyst to support the Joint Staff, J8, Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense Organization (JIAMDO) in the development of IAMD capabilities. This position provides challenging opportunities to apply and expand one's systems architecture, modeling and trade-space analysis skills. The candidate should have experience with analytic methods and tools in applied mathematics, data modeling, or probability and statistics. Should be able to conceptualize engineering models of radars, weapons, command and control, and characterize those engineering models through descriptive, parametric, and simulation terminology. Must be able to perform detailed and complex calculations and knowledge of practices and principles necessary to assess advanced systems concepts, specifications, capabilities, and air and missile defense integration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university in engineering, physical science, computer science, operations research, mathematics or other STEM fields.
- US citizenship.
- Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Desired:
- Background or familiarity with programming languages such as MATLAB, C++, Fortran, Mathematica, Python.
- Familiarity of Linux/Unix commands.
- Knowledge in physics, aerospace engineering, surveillance, command and control, or integrated air and missile defense.
- Interest in complex multi-disciplinary problems. Experience writing technical briefings and papers.
