SAIC is looking a Mechanical Engineer to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support airborne lot testing, and space applications, including programming files as well as supporting some vibration testing
- Perform Big Data analysis to obtain predictive analysis, identify indicators of known and emerging failure modes as well as better predict end of life characteristics of lithium-ion aircraft as well as space cells/batteries and chemistries of all batteries.
- Assist other analysts in using these analytic platforms on occasion;
- Present findings, approaches, and processes to the team.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
- Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years' experience; Masters and 0 years' experience.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and work well independently and as part of a team.
- Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the process.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Use of LabView and MatLab, C++
- Prior experience supporting DoD and/or NSWC Crane
- Computer Science strengths preferred to develop and maintain data pipelines using Power BI, R, Python, SQL, etc. to analyze data and implement quality control checks.
- Use GitHub and Microsoft DevOps to implement version control of the created code.
