SAIC is seeking a Sr. Principal Logistics Engineer on the Horizon Program to support to the United States Space Force Program Executive Office for Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power portfolio in Colorado Springs, CO OR El Segundo, CA.

Fun stuff on the job you will do:

  • Providing systems lifecycle engineering support for ground-based space systems from early acquisition through operations & sustainment.
  • Lead the development of sustainment requirements in a integrated product team approach in collaboration with development, test and operations stakeholders to optimize system performance in support of operational requirements.
  • Evaluate contractor designs, operations concepts, specifications, and interface products for technical completeness and performance suitability as it relates to logistical concerns.
  • Ensure program documentation such as top level requirements, system test plans, acquisition documentation that support development of the system development and sustainment contracts and so on, include operational and user constraints, needs and requirements from a system use, sustainment and retirement point of view. 

Qualifications

This is you:

  • Bachelor's degree with 9 years of related experience (4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of degree).
  • Requires an in-scope background investigation (T5 or SSBI and enrolled in Continuous Evaluation, if applicable) with the ability to obtain/maintain a Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Program accesses.
  • Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination.
  • Experience supporting and/or managing logistics operations and, or programs throughout various phases of the engineering life cycle.
  • Experience with operational user needs to include system maintainers.
  • Experience with weapon systems acquisition processes such as the development of system functional and compliance requirements, documents such as logistics related requirements and technical manuals/orders, etc. Experience with systems engineering processes, tools and techniques.

You will wow us even more if you have these skills:

  • Professional certification (e.g., Professional Engineer, INCOSE CSEP, etc.).
  • Experience within the National Security Space and, or the Space Control mission area.
  • Experience working in development environment and, or U.S. Government weapons system program office.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
