Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Analyst to join our talented team. In this role, you will perform system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance, and integrated product support (IPS) for major systems. You will manage the efficient flow of goods, services, and information from origin to customer, including planning and scheduling material movement based on engineering specifications and production schedules. You will continuously improve logistical processes, including the maintenance, supply, transportation, policy planning, program formulation, and various integrated logistics functions.

Work is performed on site in Norfolk, VA and Virginia Beach, VA.

This position is contingent upon award news Spring of 2026.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated logistics support (ILS) and/or integrated product support (IPS) of major systems. 
  • Control the efficient flow of goods, services and information between points of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements. 
  • Plan, schedule, and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production. 
  • Develop raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules, and plan and manage material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production. 
  • Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes. 
  • Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans. 
  • Contribute to the program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and mentoring of junior logisticians.
  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and manage stock rotations to optimize warehouse space and minimize stockouts. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely deliveries. 
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like on-time delivery rates, inventory turnover, and shipping costs to identify areas for improvement. 
  • Generate reports on logistics performance, cost analysis, and supply chain metrics for stakeholders. 
  • Identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks. 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline logistics processes and implement efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years professional experience in integrated logistics support.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends, optimize logistics processes, and make informed decisions regarding inventory management, transportation costs, and delivery schedules. 
  • Effective communication with internal teams (sales, production), external vendors, and customers to coordinate shipments, address concerns, and negotiate pricing. 
  • Identify and resolve issues within the supply chain, including delays, discrepancies, and unexpected disruptions. 
  • Ability to manage multiple logistics tasks simultaneously, prioritizing orders, and maintaining accurate records. 
  • Ensure accuracy in inventory management, documentation, and shipment details to avoid errors. 
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and other logistics software to track shipments and manage inventory. 
  • Ability to analyze logistics costs, identifying areas for cost reduction, and negotiating favorable rates with carriers. 
  • Understanding of the entire supply chain process, including sourcing, production, warehousing, and delivery, to optimize overall flow. 
  • Stay abreast of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to shipping and logistics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated communication and documentation skills.

Required Security Clearance:

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
    • Active Interim Secret or final Secret clearance is preferred.
