SAIC is searching for a Maintenance Planner to support NAVAIR Aircraft Gun Systems.
Work will be performed onsite in Crane, IN. An interim Secret clearance will be required to begin work.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Performs system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of major systems. Controls the efficient flow of goods, services and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. May also plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production. Develops raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules, and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes. Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans. Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and supervision (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee).
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: Frequent use and application of industry practices, techniques, and standards. General application of concepts and principles. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Establish maintenance plans using Slicwave software.
• Conduct all phases of the maintenance planning process.
• Review parts breakdown structures to include part numbers and NSN's.
• Perform Logistics Support Analysis (LSA).
• Perform Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA).
• Read FMECA reports and determine system functional failures and failure mode.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements to fill this position are:
- A Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience is preferred, years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree (6 years experience total required without degree).
- Slicwave or Eagle maintenance planning software.
- Knowledge of maintenance planning guidance, standards, and handbooks.
- Understanding of product life cycle.
- Ability to communicate with senior leadership on status and outcomes of maintenance plans.
- Ability to create and edit documents using Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel).
- Ability to obtain Secret security clearance.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
