SAIC is looking for a Logistics Analyst to support an Army Project Office team in maintaining accountability of major weapon systems and associated test equipment allocated to the WSMR field office. This position would sit at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate logistics performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Communicate logistics information to customers and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with transportation providers, customers, OEMs, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guideline.
- Develop and implement logistics plans and procedures to optimize the maintenance of major weapon system items and associated test equipment.
- Manage logistics data including work orders, maintenance schedules, spares lists, etc.
- Coordinate the transportation of major weapon systems and associated test equipment.
- Identify and resolve logistics problems in order to minimize equipment down time.
- Facilitate and/or perform equipment and material movement.
- Monitor shipping schedules to ensure on time delivery of goods and materials. Inventory and manage military property utilizing DPAS and hand receipts.
- Maintains accountability of major weapon systems and associated test equipment allocated to the WSMR field office.
- Receive new equipment at the WSMR field office by documenting, inventorying, and receipting into the system for accountability.
- Perform equipment turn-in to DRMO activities.
- Ship and receive equipment along with all necessary documentation.
- Field, respond to, and fill ad hoc supply requests.
- Evaluate vendor quotes to determine most desirable suppliers.
- Familiar with the concepts, practices, and procedures of Government procurement. Interview vendors to determine best product availability and terms of sales. Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelors and five (5) years related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and zero (0) years related experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Able to drive wheeled vehicles and obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Knowledge of Army Air and Missile Defense Systems, particularly in command, control, and communication.
- Experience in property accountability, inventory procedures, and operator maintenance.
- Experience with Army Air and Missile Defense Systems, with focus on command, control, and communication systems.
- The candidate must be able to lift weights IAW MIL-STD-1472, generally 56 lbs 5 ft above the floor, 87 lbs 3 ft above the floor, and carry 82 lbs 33 ft or less.
Clearance:
Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a full Secret clearance; Minimum of an Interim Secret clearance required to start.
