Job Title: Logistics Analyst
We are looking for a leader with a thorough knowledge of the logistics tasks and products required in all phases of the DoD Integrated Defense Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics Life Cycle Management System. Supported products may include military aircraft on-board aircraft weapon system electronics, and associated armament equipment. These products may be in any stage of their life-cycle (development, production, deployment, support, and disposal). The employee will receive assignments in the form of objectives and schedules from the project manager, senior logistician, or the integrated product team (IPT) leader and must specify tasks and schedules to meet these broad objectives. Establish and recommends changes to policies which effect subordinate organizations(s).
The employee will possess a thorough knowledge of and experience in DoD logistics execution and planning; will serve as the logistics expert for their products. Specific emphasis on Navy and Marine Corps logistics is critical. This person will work on complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various logistic factors. This will require them to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies and select methods and techniques to achieve results. This may include taking complex problems and dissect them into logical elements to perform business case analyses, management tasks, and technical analysis.
The individual will routinely prepare, coordinate, and presents briefings, papers, and reports to management, customers, peers, and subordinates as well as developing and implementing logistics plans for facilities, personnel, equipment, spares parts and maintenance. It is essential that this employee can operate with minimal supervision and must anticipate needs, respond in a timely manner, and exude quality in every task.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
· HS and 5 years experience; or Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience
· 2+ years experience in DoD acquisition logistics;
· Experience with DoD's Integrated Logistics Support and its 12 elements
· Experience developing maintenance plans and Level of Repair Analysis;
· Effective written and oral skills, strong inter-personal communication skills;
· Strong Microsoft Office skills;
· Hold or be able to obtain a Secret Security clearance;
DESIRED SKILLS:
· Knowledge and experience with Navy & Marine Corps aviation weapon systems;
· Experience in DoD supply systems;
· Provisioning experience a plus;
· US military veteran
