SAIC has a need for a Junior Systems Engineer to join a team of software, test, and systems engineers who develop, test, and maintain the Joint Network Design Aid (JNDA) software in Huntsville, AL. JNDA is a Windows-based desktop application used to design Link 16 networks and generate output files. Candidate would work in a largely self-directed but collaborative environment. 

Primary responsibilities include:

• Manage requirements and documentation to verify requirements are met.
• Validate existing system requirements documentation.
• Develop emerging system requirements for new software capabilities.
•      Develop success criteria to verify requirements are met.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering, or related engineering degree and  zero (0) years of experience. Additional six (6) years of experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must possess an active Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills:

• Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills  
• Ability to electronically organize data and present technical information to both internal and external customers
• Candidate must be detail-oriented and execute meticulous analysis of each task they complete
• Ability to learn quickly and implement problem-solving skills
• Candidate must be a self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Desired Skills:

• Experience in requirements management tool, i.e. Innoslate, DOORS, or Cameo
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or JIRA
• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodology
• Experience with model-based systems engineering
• Knowledge with Army and NATO tactical Data Link Standards
