SAIC is seeking an IT Integration Engineer Chief to support the AF TENCAP HOPE 2.0 contract. The AF TENCAP HOPE 2.0 contract bridges intelligence community collection architectures, capabilities, and technologies with DoD operational and tactical requirements.  This effort will deliver rapid, innovative, and cost-effective capabilities to meet warfighter needs, and will include bringing national capabilities to bear cross all warfighting domains spanning intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, combat applications, battlespace awareness, command and control, multi-level security and mission programs.  This next generation approach shall employ the latest advancements in geolocation and tagging, sensor and data fusion, unconventional / asymmetric warfare, situational awareness, cyberspace and spectrum warfare, large data analytics, data lake, jamming technologies, sensor technologies, geo-registration to deliver a cutting-edge approach.

In the AF TENCAP HOPE 2.0 contract, the IT Integration Engineer Chief is responsible for orchestrating the seamless integration of new prototype systems and applications into existing DoD Weapons Systems. This role is instrumental in enhancing and securing the technological capabilities of AF TENCAP, ensuring the effective and efficient deployment of mission-critical solutions, especially within classified environments.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in technology leadership, systems engineering, and integration roles, with a proven track record of enhancing system performance and fostering Agile cultures. They must have excellent communication skills to interact effectively with AF TENCAP customers and stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate should have experience managing teams and projects, integrating new prototypes into large DoD weapons systems, and ensuring all cybersecurity and compliance aspects are met.  The end goal is to achieve operational impact that enhances the warfighter's user experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate new prototypes into large DoD weapons systems.
  • Enhance existing architectures and implement secure network improvements.
  • Develop advanced infrastructure solutions, performing testing, validation, and documentation of new capabilities.
  • Ensure interoperability at the protocol, network, application, and data layers to create cohesive systems.
  • Integrate cloud computing technologies, containerized applications, virtualization platforms, and data storage solutions for hybrid environments.
  • Apply cybersecurity protocols, risk mitigation strategies, and conduct vulnerability assessments in compliance with DoD and IC directives.
  • Conduct rigorous testing of fully integrated solutions to ensure readiness and compliance.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to obtain all necessary approvals for installation and testing.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure mission systems are ready and meet operational requirements.
  • Manage DevSecOps-supported solutions and execute continuous deployment and automation cycles.
  • Manage and support a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer/Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • DoD 8570/8140 certifications or equivalent (e.g., Security+ or higher).
  • 14 years of experience in Installation, Configuration, and Testing of IT Systems
  • 5 years of experience in IT Support for classified DoD/IC networks & systems.
  • 5 years of experience leading technical teams.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with Cloud environments and IaC Tools
  • Experience with Automation and Orchestration Tools.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Engineering tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, SysML).

Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
