SAIC is searching for an IT Systems Integration Analyst that is a dynamic self-starter who has a mix of technical experience in network management, IT system administration, and computer assembly with solid communication skills to supplement existing software and IT teams in support of the S3I Aviation Trainers Branch (ATB) in Huntsville, AL. 

Primary tasks are computing system and network management duties. 

Daily tasks could include:

 Network Management

• Design and implement network solutions for use in training platforms
• Design and implement virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) client/server solutions to provide training platform access
• Manage VDI client/server systems to support a training platform development lab
• Document network configurations for use in training platform maintenance manuals
• Perform firmware updates on managed switches; customize COTS network equipment configurations to support production training devices

 

IT System Administration / Computer Assembly

• Troubleshoot issues reported by product stakeholders to verify repeatability; Create write-ups for verified issues; Perform regression testing of issues resolved by other team members
• Assemble computers using parts provided; create new or manage existing processes for acceptance testing of built systems
• Use drive cloning equipment to create device backups and/or to build a new drive set from a known existing baseline drive
• Document computing system configurations for use in training platform maintenance manuals
• Create and document batch scripts to improve efficiency and reliability of computing systems management tasks

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors and three (3) years or more of experience; Masters and one (1) or more years of experience to include two to four years of system administration and/or network administration tasks (ex: Windows 10 and/or Windows 11, Linux, HP Z, Microsoft VDI, VMWare); Additional four (4) years experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must possess an active Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one prior to starting; US Citizenship.

Required Skills:

• Must have previous VDI experience
• Must be proficient in computer assembly
• Must be able to update firmware

Desired skills:

• Application admin experience: VMWare, HP Z, Microsoft VDI
• Tech writing experience (ex: building system test plans, writing process documents)
• Network management fundamentals (ex: Network+)
• Windows OS admin experience
• Cybersecurity fundamentals (ex: Security+)
•      Other computing/IT certifications (ex: A+)
