We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Systems Administrator with expertise in Exchange 2019, Office 365 Exchange Online, EntraID Connect, and SQL Server 2022. The ideal candidate will also have a solid understanding of Teams, Identity Management, PowerShell, Python, Java, VMware, and technical writing. This role demands strong time management skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to maintaining and enhancing our organization's IT infrastructure and collaboration platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Exchange and Collaboration Platform Management:
o Administer and maintain Exchange 2019 and Office 365 Exchange Online environments, including email configuration, mail flow troubleshooting, and migration projects.
o Monitor and optimize email server performance, security, and compliance.
o Provide support for Microsoft Teams, including user management, configurations, and integrations.
2. Identity and Access Management:
o Manage EntraID Connect for seamless identity synchronization between on-premises and cloud environments.
o Implement and maintain identity and access management policies, ensuring security and compliance.
3. Database Administration:
o Knowledge of SQL Server 2022.
4. Scripting and Automation:
o Develop and maintain scripts in PowerShell, Python, and Java to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
o Create tools and scripts to enhance IT workflows and reporting.
5. Virtualization and Infrastructure Management:
o Knowledge of VMware environments, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
o Conduct regular system updates, patch management, and hardware lifecycle management.
5. Project and Task Management:
o Manage and execute IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.
o Handle ServiceNow tickets and tasks efficiently, maintaining accurate records and resolving issues promptly.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to scope, plan, and implement IT solutions for business needs.
6. Technical Writing and Documentation:
o Produce and maintain detailed documentation, including system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
o Write clear and concise technical manuals for both IT staff and end-users.
7. Time Management and Collaboration:
o Prioritize and manage multiple ongoing projects to meet deadlines and organizational goals.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, design, and implement IT solutions.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
· Education and Experience: Bachelors and 5+ years or Masters and 3+ years. Additional experience considered in lieu of experience.
o 10+ years required relevant experience
· Citizenship and Secrurity Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust
· Technical Expertise:
o Proficient in administering Exchange 2019 and Office 365 Exchange Online.
o Hands-on experience with EntraID Connect and identity synchronization.
o Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2022 and database management.
o Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, its integrations, and administration.
· Programming and Scripting:
o Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, with working knowledge of Python and Java.
· Virtualization and Systems Management:
o Experience with VMware administration, including virtual machine management and resource optimization.
· Soft Skills:
o Excellent time management and organizational skills.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical writing and collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Exchange Server Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or VMware Certified Professional.
· Experience in large-scale migration projects and hybrid IT environments.
· Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
Work Environment:
· Full-time position with occasional on-call duties an after-hours work.
· Hybrid work model (DC area or East Coast preferred). Position is 100% remote, but client needs candidate to live in the DMV office in case they need to go into the office.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
