The SAIC USAF Cloud One team is sponsoring a professional Internship for students designed to provide on-the-job training and experience to students. This Internship is offered to college students/graduates to enable them to gain knowledge, skills and abilities to perform at a professional level. The SAIC Air Force Cloud One Program is an existing global, interconnected, virtualized IT infrastructure that hosts mission systems, applications, services, and data in support of DoD Services and Agencies. Cloud One incorporates the capabilities of Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and DevSecOps principles to provide common services and facilitate cloud application migrations to IL-4, IL-5, IL-6 (NIPRNet) cloud environments. This internship is 100% remote.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide entry to intermediate-level professional services, under supervision of professional staff and/or faculty personnel,
as appropriate to the day-to-day operating objectives of the unit
- Undertake and/or participate in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the organization
- Participate in the planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise
- Interact directly with colleagues, clientele, and/or other internal or external customers
- Receive guidance, training, and mentoring from professional personnel in planning and carrying out activities and assignments
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
CLEARANCE & CERTIFICATION:
- US citizenship required
- No clearance required to start. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance required to maintain employment
- Ability to obtain a Security+ or higher Certification
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School and two (2) or more years of college coursework in a technical field
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with Amazon Web Services and Cloud Computing Environment
Target salary range: Up to $40,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
